In a recent interview with Sports Director of WSB-TV Channel 2 in Atlanta Zach Klein Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. said that he’ll be ready to play week one, and earlier today The Morning Shift gave their thoughts on what Penix Jr. had to say.

“I think week one is realistic.” Beau Morgan said

Michael Penix Jr. partially tore his ACL on November 16th. Now, we don’t know exactly when the Atlanta Falcons first regular season game is next season, but it’s going to be sometime in early September, so it’ll be pretty close to 10 months between his injury and the Falcons first game of the season, and with ACL injuries having a 6 to 12 months recovery time, with most athletes being ready to return around nine months now on average. There’s no reason to believe Michael Penix Jr. won't be ready to play week one
