After an extensive search the Atlanta Falcons have their next Head Coach and it’s Raheem Morris. NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero joined The Morning Shift earlier today, and explained why Raheem Morris was ultimately the guy for the Falcons.
“With Raheem Morris they get somebody who has been in that building before he knows the culture in Atlanta. He knows you know how that building is set up and the challenges that they’ve faced and you know the people around there.” Pelissero said.
Raheem Morris seemed to check all the boxes and be the full package that the Arthur Blank, Rich McKay, and Terry Fontenot wanted in their next Head Coach. As Pelissero noted Morris already has experience as a head coach, he’s been in the Falcons organization before, not only as an assistant and coordinator but as an interim Head Coach as well. Morris is also well respected around the league by not only the players but some of the best coaches in the NFL like Mike Tomlin and Sean McVay.
This is a big if, but if Raheem Morris gets the quarterback position right here in Atlanta, there’s no reason he won’t have a shot to be the winningest coach in Falcons history.
