Amazon Worker at New York Warehouse Dies From Coronavirus

An employee at the Amazon warehouse on Staten Island has died of coronavirus, the company has confirmed.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of an associate at our site in Staten Island, NY.," Amazon spokesperson Lisa Levandowski said. "His family and loved ones are in our thoughts, and we are supporting his fellow colleagues."The employee, who was not identified, was last at the facility on April 5.

On April 11, the employee was confirmed to have coronavirus. He was quarantined.

There have been other cases at the facility, but it is believed that none of the cases are related to each other.

Amazon is offering support and counseling to employees.
