The former fourth overall pick Kyle Pitts has struggled to find his role in the new Falcons offense this season, but last night Zac Robinson, Kirk Cousins, and the Falcons offense may have figured out the secret to making sure Kyle Pitts is involved and is a factor in the offense. Former Falcons Quarterback and now analyst for the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network Dave Archer joined The Morning Shift earlier today, and talked about what that secret could be.
“Kyle just might be one of those guys you gotta get going early, if you can get him the ball a couple of times early in the game because he was running with the football with some ferocity.” Dave said.
Archer said that Pitts “"was everything you wanted last night" and that he was very “demonstrative” and “distinctive as to what he was going to do” and Dave thinks it’s because of the fact that Pitts got the ball early on in the game.
Now, Dave also made a good point in saying that you hope that doesn’t have to be the case every week for the Falcons tight end because opposing teams may start game planning for that and try to take that away, but if the Falcons can find creative ways to get Kyle the ball early in every game, so that he can continue to have games like he had last night this Falcons’ offense could really start putting up big numbers every week.
