Jim Harbaugh is now officially in the mix after the Falcons announced they completed an interview with him Tuesday night. Harbaugh would come to Atlanta as one of the premier candidates for the job along with another candidate the team interviewed in Bill Belichick. Harbaugh brings a winning culture along with a championship pedigree after winning a National Championship with Michigan just a few weeks ago.

Harbaugh’s irreverent attitude and quirky personality may take a moment to adjust to for the media and fans alike, but there is no denying his ability to build a winning program at the college and NFL level. His personality on paper may not seem like a perfect match for Atlanta, but for a team that has failed to make the playoffs since 2017 the wins will overtake the khakis every time.

Bill Belichick would appear to be Arthur Blanks’ top choice according to several reports. But Jim Harbaugh is over a decade younger and way more tapped into the youth movement going on in football and also has the familiarity with the most recent crop of draft picks set to make their NFL debuts next season.
