(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- An Illinois State Trooper was injured early this morning in a crash involving a semi.

State Police said the Trooper was on Southbound I-94 near 115th Street just after 4 a.m. in the left lane.

Another car abruptly changed lanes in front of the police vehicle. The trooper had to brake hard and lost control.

The squad hit the left guardrail and then swerved to the right, hitting the semi. The trooper was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries described as minor.

The semi driver was uninjured and State Police said the driver of the car that caused the crash did not stop.

The network of cameras along the expressway could lead to that person.
