Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A local attorney is taking a look at whether a way to track down tractor trailers who illegally used the Thruway this week is legal.
Cambria says prosecutors have to prove that driver with that truck had the EZ-Pass on him at the time of the violation. He says there's only one slam dunk way. "The EZ-Pass people have the license plate number of each car, and usually they record that number when you go through the checkpoint, and because they record that number, that's the real proof," ezplains Cambria. "The only way they can successfully charge you is if they read the plate as they photograph you using the EZ-Pass."
