New York Attorney General Letitia James has asked the seven major cable and satellite television providers in New York to provide financial relief for consumers amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Charter Communications is among those being called upon to reduce or eliminate fees attributable to live sports programming. In her statement, James noting cable and satellite TV subscribers pay up to $20 a month in extra fees to access live sporting events.
