Cheektowaga, NY (WBEN) Cheektowaga Police arrest a man in connection with the death of a woman Sunday afternoon. Police say the suspect also led Buffalo Police on a chase before his arrest.
Cheektowaga Police say they were called to Walden Avenue between Hedwig and Alexander around 3:30pm Sunday. Police say initial reports were a woman was struck by a motor vehicle and several shots were fired from a handgun by a man driving that vehicle.
Police say 32 year old Alexis Navaroli of Buffalo was found deceased and lying on the roadway. The vehicle suspected of striking her was found inoperable at the time, and police the suspect, 37 year old Gary Green, Jr. carjacked another victim at gunpoint and drove off.
Buffalo Police located the stolen car driving inside city limits and a brief car chase concluded near Jefferson and Best in the City of Buffalo. Green was apprehended.
Green is charged with second degree murder and first degree robbery. He was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center following arraignment.
