Police make arrest in Monday night murder in Buffalo

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 24-year-old Buffalo man has been arrested and charged for his alleged role in a deadly shooting Monday night in the city's LaSalle neighborhood.

According to Buffalo police, a 33-year-old man was found fatally wounded in the 200 block of Shirley Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. He was declared deceased at the scene.

Jeremiah Henderson is accused of intentionally shooting the victim with an illegal gun, which resulted in his death.

Henderson has been charged with one count of Murder in the Second Degree (Class “A-I” felony) and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class “C” violent felony). He is due back in court on Friday, June 27.

He's being held without bail, and if convicted, faces up to 25 years-to-life in prison.
