Boat fire at Outer Harbor injures one, causes $30,000 in damages

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A fire aboard a boat at Buffalo's Outer Harbor caused $30,000 in damages and left one man with minor burn injuries Thursday evening.

Buffalo Fire says it received a call around 6:45 p.m. ET at the 1100 block of Fuhrmann Boulevard. The fire was put out shortly after.

Two people were on board when the fire broke out. One of the passengers, a male, sustained minor burns and received treatment at the scene.

Buffalo Fire estimates $25,000 in damages to the boat, and $5,000 to the dock. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
