Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - After pausing elective surgeries earlier this week because of a shortage of IV fluid, Catholic Health says they're back on.
Elective surgeries will resume beginning Friday at all of its hospitals.
In a statement, Catholic Health said they have been able to effectively manage the IV fluid supply across their system. It comes after a plant that supplies IV fluid to Catholic Health was shut down due to Hurricane Helene.
Patients should reach out to their doctor's office if they have questions regarding an upcoming surgery.
