Royalton, N.Y. (WBEN) - New York State Police say four people were killed in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Slayton Settlement Road and Orangeport Road in the town of Royalton Tuesday afternoon.
The initial investigation determined that a Chevrolet Cruze was traveling west bound on Slayton Settlement Road Bear Recreational Vehicle was traveling south bound on Orangeport Road and failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the Chevrolet Cruze in the intersection. The operator, Austin W. Wilson, 20 of Wilson, NY, the front passenger, Simon P. Fox, 20 of Medina, NY and the rear passenger, William Bernadt IV, 21 of Newfane, NY of the Chevrolet Cruze were deceased at the scene. Both front seat occupants were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. The operator of the RV, Michael H. Duffy, 81 of Sommerton, SC and the passenger, Linda E. Duffy, 80 of Sommerton, SC were transported to Erie County Medical Center in critical condition. Linda E. Duffy succumb to her injuries at ECMC.
The NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation are involved in the ongoing investigation.
