Kenmore man pleads guilty to hit-and-run outside Highmark Stadium

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Kenmore man has pled guilty to a hit-and-run that happened near Highmark Stadium following the Buffalo Bills' home opener on Sept. 8, 2024.

40-year-old Alfred Santiago was driving on West Abbott Grove Avenue in Orchard Park when he struck a 63-year-old pedestrian. The woman was hospitalized with injuries to her upper body and fractured ribs.

Witnesses tried unsuccessfully to stop Santiago, who drove away after hitting the woman. He was later found around 5:40 p.m. on Victoria Boulevard in Kenmore.

Santiago had been charged with a felony DWI and one count of leaving the scene of an incident resulting in serious physical injury.

He faces a maximum of eight years in prison when he's sentenced on June 9.
