Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 20-year-old Bronx man has been detained and is being questioned by Buffalo police officials, along with members of the New York State Police in connection with the Nov. 16 of New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd.

The suspect is considered "a person of interest", police sources say.

Acting on information from the New York Police Department, the man was taken into custody - without incident - after being found on Buffalo's East Side. The suspect is expected to be moved to New York City within the next day, according to police sources.

Citing the ongoing investigation, police sources declined to provide further information.
