Collins, N.Y. (WBEN) - New York State Police is investigating a possible shooting incident in the Town of Collins early Tuesday morning. The incident was reported around 10:30 a.m. at 3625 Edgewood Drive, close to the Collins Correctional Facility.
The preliminary investigation is still ongoing, and NYSP Special Operations Response Team, Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
The State Police Special Operations Response Team took a subject into custody at approximately 5:20 p.m.
The area was evacuated for safety. There is no public threat outside this area at this time.
