Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The lights on the Rotary Rink Christmas tree will go up tonight. But you won't be able to take to the rink to skate to kick off the holiday season.
Michael Schmand of Buffalo Place says the lighting event will be exciting, with Santa Claus and Mayor Brown making appearances. But there is some not-so-good news. "Unfortunately, because of the weather that we've had the warm weather we've had, we will not have ice skating, but everything else is a go," says Schmand. That includes a petting zoo, horse and carriage rides, and gifts for younger kids.
There will be fireworks as the tree is lit Saturday evening at 6pm.
