Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Court of Claims Judge Mark Grisanti will not be nominated for another term on the court. WBEN has learned a local assessment attorney has been nominated in his place.

Grisanti was censured recently after a fight with a neighbor in 2020. Grisanti also shoved a police officer during that incident. At that time, Gov. Kathy Hochul's Office was reviewing the disciplinary action. The State Commission on Judicial Conduct voted to censure him, 6-4.

Sources tell WBEN's Tom Puckett that assessment attorney Peter Allan Weinmann will be nominated instead. The State Senate Judiciary Committee will meet on Wednesday to discuss this and other nominations.
