Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Two women have been charged in connection with Friday's stabbing at Walden Galleria that injured three women.
22-year-old Lakeya Richerson of Buffalo and 21-year-old Joshalyn Paul of Buffalo were arraigned Saturday morning in Cheektowaga Town Court, where they have each been charged with three counts of Assault in the Second Degree (Class "D" violent felonies) and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree (Class "A" misdemeanor).
Prosecutors says Richerson and Paul stabbed the three victims during an altercation inside Walden Galleria on Friday. The three female victims were taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where they were treated for various stab wounds.
Richerson and Paul are scheduled to return for a felony hearing on Thursday morning. Both have been released on bail set at $10,000 cash or bond.
If convicted of the highest charge, Richerson and Paul face a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.
