NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Disgraced ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner's prison term is now over.
Weiner was released from a halfway house in the Bronx where he had been staying since being released early for good behavior from a federal prison in Massachusetts in February.
"I feel like I am glad to be getting back to my family. I hope to be able to live a life of integrity and service," Weiner told reporters Tuesday. "I'm glad this chapter in my life is behind me."
Weiner pleaded guilty in May 2017 to having illicit online contact with a 15-year-old girl.
He will have to register as a sex offender for a minimum of 20 years.
He'll sign up as a Level 1 offender, meaning he is considered to be at the lowest risk of reoffending.
