(WCBS 880) -- Nearly 3,000 flags cover a lawn at a high school in Essex County, New Jersey, in a moving tribute to each victim of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
He says this is about teaching students about that day. "We have to honor, remember and also educate them about the events," Schoner said.
Student Council President Francesca Catrone wasn't yet born on 9/11.
"I think it's so humbling to know that we're able to something on like this but to just remember each and every person," she said.
Junior Brian Catanzrite is glad to be a part of the project.
"I think it's a good thing to do, especially as a just a high schooler. We weren't born for it but it's good to always remember what happened," he said.
This is the fifth year of the project.
