JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WCBS 880) — Six Flags Great Adventure on Wednesday announced it will open its Safari drive-thru to private cars for the first time in eight years.
The park had been giving tours in open air truck driven by park employees before the coronavirus closure.
The park will reopen on May 30, giving guests the ability to drive their own vehicles through the tour.
Guests must purchase tickets online in advance. Reservations will be required to prevent overcrowding.
Reservations will begin on May 27 at 10 a.m. Guests without advance reservations will not be allowed to enter.
All Six Flags employees will have their temperature checked daily and will wear masks and gloves where appropriate.
Only portable toilets will be available at the entrance and exit.
The 5-mile, 350-acre safari will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
The theme park and waterpark will remain closed until further notice.
