NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- It was a rough ride for NJ Transit commuters.

There were delays of up to two hours on NJ Transit trains in and out of New York Penn Station Monday night due to Amtrak overhead wire issues.

Midtown direct trains were diverted to Hoboken Terminal. PATH and NJT buses were cross-honoring passengers.

Commuters tweeted pics of massive crowds and also voiced their frustration.

One man called it "Hell on Earth."
