NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A new art exhibition at Manhattan’s ARTECHOUSE space is letting visitors step into another dimension.

“Geometric Properties: An Immersive Audio-Visual Journey Through Fractal Dimensions,” a solo exhibition by Dutch artist Julius Horsthuis, opened at the Chelsea Market art space on March 1.

According to ARTECHOUSE, the audio-visual exhibit will feature “a mind-bending journey through the infinite geometric patterns of fractal worlds.”

In a statement, Horsthuis says he hopes people can immerse themselves in his art and heal from the trauma that the pandemic has caused for so many.

“In a time where disease and division characterize our daily reality, I want to show a different existence,” the artist said. “An eternal reality of healing and harmony. Not in some new-age kind of way, or with another utopic vision detached from humanity, but just by being in awe of endless iterations and multiple dimensions. This might be the perfect time for us to be in awe – to quiet our self-interest and make us realize we’re part of a larger whole.”

The exhibit will be on view through Sept. 6. Tickets cost $24 for adults and $17 for children, but New York and New Jersey residents can receive discounts on certain days. For more information visit artechouse.com.
