SYOSSET, N.Y. (WCBS 880) -- Nassau County officials arrested five teens in connection to a string of burglaries early Tuesday on Long Island.
Officers responded to multiple “glass breaks” at 12 businesses across Syosset, according to Nassau County police.
Seven of the break-ins were on Cold Spring Road, including at Cardinali Bakery, Y Cleaners, Arata Sushi, Village Pharmacy, Syosset Wine Cellar, Bagel Master and J's Market.
Five other businesses on Berry Hill Road, Jackson Avenue and Ira Road were also targeted, police said.

An investigation led detectives to the MercyFirst youth facility on Convent Road, where the group of teens were taken into custody without incident.
One 16-year-old boy and one 16-year-old girl were both charged with eight counts of burglary and four counts of felony criminal mischief.

A 15-year-old girl and two 14-year-old boys were each charged with eight counts of burglary and four counts of felony criminal mischief.
The 16-year-old boy was previously arrested on May 31 and June 3. He was charged with two additional counts of burglary, according to police.
No injuries were reported.
