NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police arrested a 42-year-old man on Saturday for throwing a cluster of bricks through the window of New York State Senator Iwen Chu’s Brooklyn office.

The vandal reportedly threw the bricks through a plate glass window at Chu’s Sunset Park Office on Fort Hamilton Highway near 66th Street just after 9:30 a.m. Friday. Police told 1010 WINS the vandalism “appears to be targeted.”

Mou Hu was arrested Saturday for the attack. Authorities did not say whether police had identified a motive for the vandalism or what charges Hu is facing.

“We are grateful that no one was harmed and constituents were not in the waiting area by the window,” wrote Chu in a Twitter post. “This is an inexcusable act of violence and cannot be tolerated in any aspect of life. This is not just an attack on my office but everyone we serve.”

Chu, a Democrat, was elected to New York’s 17th Senate District last November. The district covers Kensington, Sunset Park, Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst and Bath Beach.
