Bottoms up! Some NJ breweries to offer free beer to vaccinated adults

TRENTON, N.J. (WCBS 880) — New Jersey is partnering with select local breweries to provide a free beer to anyone 21 years or older who shows proof of their COVID-19 vaccination.

The state Department of Health and the Brewers Guild of New Jersey are teaming up to launch the new "Shot and a Beer" program to encourage eligible New Jerseyans, 21 and over, to get vaccinated.

"Any New Jerseyan who gets their first vaccine dose in the month of May and takes their vaccination card to one of the participating breweries as proof of vaccination will receive a free beer," Murphy announced Monday.

Participating breweries include Bolero Snort in the Meadowlands, Brix City in Little Ferry and Carton Brewing in the Atlantic Highlands.

Murphy also announced bar seating will return this Friday.
