Woman, man repeatedly punched in face by 2 men sought in random subway attack: NYPD

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Police are searching for two men they said repeatedly punched a woman and man in the face while aboard a subway platform in Downtown Brooklyn earlier this month.

At approximately 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, a southbound A train was approaching the Jay Street subway station, a 28-year-old woman was approached by the two suspects who began to punch her in the face multiple times in an unprovoked attack, according to authorites.

A 29-year-old man attempted to intervene and the suspects then began to punch him in the face several times in the face before fleeing the transit system at the Jay Street station, officials said.

The woman was removed to Cobble Hill Hospital in stable condition and the man victim refused medical attention.
