Garrett Wilson gave the Jets a scare when he left Sunday’s win over the Eagles with what looked like a non-contact leg injury, though he did eventually return to the game.
Still, once the game was over, Wilson sounded off on the turf at MetLife Stadium, joining the long list of players who have voiced their displeasure about the turf’s conditions and impact on player injuries.
“It’s garbage, man,” Wilson said, via NJ.com. “You’re out there running and all of a sudden your legs aren’t in the same place your head is at. And it’s kind of like, what’s the difference between the week, and now? You look down, and you see the turf.”
MetLife is in its first season with a new turf surface, but so far, it doesn’t seem to be going over any better amongst the players, as now, one of the top stars that calls MetLife home has ripped the turf field in the latest call to use grass, which Gang Green uses at its practice facility.
