Aaron Rodgers is reportedly heading to the Jets after a trade with the Packers was finally agreed upon, and Rodgers’ new teammates celebrated in kind.
After months of using social media to try and recruit the future Hall of Famer to New York, the Jets were now able to use that same avenue to celebrate their accomplishment of the mission to bring Rodgers into the fold.
For starters, Sauce Gardner and Breece Hall changed their Twitter avatars to a photo of a young Rodgers, while Gardner tweeted a screenshot of his initial text messages with Rodgers, which began with the Defensive Rookie of the Year sending Rodgers a picture of the cheesehead he got from a fan at Lambeau Field after Gang Green beat Rodgers’ Packers last season.
Hall tweeted that his surgically repaired knee was feeling “a little healthier now,” as the adrenaline of adding Rodgers has him ready for the season to start. Garrett Wilson seemed to be in jubilant disbelief, while, DJ Reed got in on the celebration as well.
