Back in the days of Bo and Deion, the Mets had a two-sport star of their own: NFL running back turned MLB outfielder D.J. Dozier.
An All-American at Penn State, Dozier was a first-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 1987. Three years later, he decided to pick up baseball for the first time since high school, and was signed by the Mets…and by 1992 he was playing at Shea Stadium.
On the latest "30 With Murti" podcast, Dozier discusses his two-sport career, his book "Decide to Dominate," and the principles that apply to both sports and business.
