WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- In yet another up-and-down season for the New York Mets, another rough low has been hit.
Acting General Manager Zack Scott is facing driving while intoxicated charges in the Hudson Valley, according to the New York Post.
Scott was caught dozing off in his car just after 4 a.m. Tuesday in White Plains, police told The Post.
Scott reportedly refused a blood sample or breathalyzer test, but failed a field sobriety test, according to the report.
The team released a statement, saying, "We were surprised and deeply disappointed to learn this morning about an alleged DUI involving Zack Scott. We take this matter very seriously. Zack will not be traveling with the team for our upcoming road trip while we learn more and determine next steps."
Scott was reportedly charged, released and is due back in court Thursday.
According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, Scott was at the home of team owner Steve Cohen the night of his arrest for a team foundation fundraiser.
1010 WINS has reached out to the White Plains Police Department.
