C-Mac not happy with Brian Cashman after hearing Yankees rotation plans

C-Mac only needed to hear the first answer from Brian Cashman at his virtual press conference on Thursday to know that the Yankees are not fully all in on 2024.

“This was over in the first answer. I didn’t need to go any further than the first answer Brian Cashman gave to understand exactly where the Yankees are,” C-Mac said. “The first thing he says is the same thing I said…the same thing everyone said.

“I know Brian Cashman is honest when he tells you, ‘I think we have a good rotation if everything works out.’ That’s exactly what he said.”

Translation: the Yankees will have a good rotation if everything goes right, but in a rotation full of question marks, that is not likely, and C-Mac wanted to see the Yanks eliminate as many questions as possible this winter.

“Nothing else is coming,” C-Mac said. “This year, that is supposed to be all in…they trade for Juan Soto, everything is about this year, and the introductory press conference for Marcus Stroman is the one addition they’re going to make this offseason.

“Let’s just make it clear today, right now. The Yankees are done adding to the rotation, and Brian Cashman told you as much. He also told you he is uncomfortable with where the rotation is.”
