The Yankees have made the biggest splash of the offseason so far, completing a blockbuster trade for Juan Soto on Wednesday night.
C-Mac says it can’t be the last splash the Yanks make this winter, and doesn’t think it will be.
“That’s why they need to go out and get Yamamoto, or trade for Corbin Burnes, or maybe both, and then be the fully operational Death Star,” C-Mac said. “He needs to go do more, and it feels like he’s going to. That’s the best part.
“They’ve done this before. It’s never felt like they won’t be denied, and that’s what it feels like right now. They need to follow through on that, and I believe they will.”
Yoshinobu Yamamoto is certainly in play, but C-Mac wouldn’t rule out another big trade either.
“They have pieces,” C-Mac said. “They have Gleyber Torres. They have [Everson] Pereira. They have [Oswald] Peraza. They have other pieces they can still try and use in this farm system that is far better that fans want to give them credit for.”
