The Guardians were staying loose through Monday's rain delay by throwing a football in front of their dugout, then got the fans involved.
The players, including Myles Straw, started throwing the football over the protective netting above the third base dugout and into the stands, getting multiple groups of fans in on the game of catch, even a group in the 200 level at Yankee Stadium.
Security stopped it after a few throws, and the rain quickly began pouring down hard anyway.
Straw was the product of the loudest boos at Yankee Stadium in games one and two after calling the fanbase the "worst on the planet" after a regular season game ended with Yankee fans throwing debris onto the field towards Cleveland outfielders after a walk-off win for New York, but this appeared to be a temporary peace offering.
They did try to include the crowd… (until #Yankees security shut it down! 😂) pic.twitter.com/ok9L0GIGQw
