While Thursday's commute has been hit by snow, heavy traffic and multiple crashes, there is good news in the forecast: most of the snow is over and travel conditions are slowly improving across the metro, according to WCCO Radio meteorologist and host Paul Douglas.
But when you do get home, you may need to turn on the heat. WCCO Radio metrologist Mike Lynch noted that temps will plummet to 10 below after the the snow stops Thursday night, with a wind chill in the negative 30s.
Lynch said there will be sun Friday, but the high is expected to be around zero, with dangerous wind chills advisories in effect.
