Our late season snow is forcing the delay of Friday night's St. Paul Saints season-opener by a day as crews continue to clean up the ballpark.
Vice President Sean Aronson talked with Vineeta Sawkar on the WCCO Morning News.
"If you had a ticket for tonight's game, if you purchased it online or over the phone, you're going to receive a voucher into your account and you can turn around and use those vouchers for any regular season game the rest of the year," Aronson explains.
Aronson says any tickets that were purchased in-person must be exchanged at the box office.
He says they needed the extra time to clean up after this week's dumping of snow in the Twin Cities.
He adds that their new personal fire pits along the right field wall have been a big hit when the weather's still chilly.
"We just had to figure something out," Aronson says. "Last year was the first time that we played baseball in the month of April. We had to figure out something to do to get people to come out if it was going to be cold. Like I said, they were a gigantic hit for us, so if it works, let's bring it back and that's what we're doing."
The Saints play both Saturday and Sunday at 2:07.
