Allen: Bills had 'so much faith' within their group against Denver

Bills quarterback Josh Allen addressed the media following Buffalo's massive 31-7 playoff victory over the Broncos at Highmark Stadium

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - It's a fifth-straight postseason for the Buffalo Bills to earn a victory in the AFC Wild Card Round, taking down the Denver Broncos at Highmark Stadium with a convincing 31-7 win.

This victory for Buffalo continues the team's perfect home record of 9-0 during the 2024 season. Buffalo has a chance to go 10-0 at Highmark Stadium with a victory over the visiting Baltimore Ravens next Sunday evening.

While the Bills got off to a bit of a slower start once again, Josh Allen was the ultimate game controller for the Bills with some very efficient stats.

The Bills quarterback finished his day by completing 20-of-26 pass attempts for 272 yards and two touchdowns. His third quarter touchdown pass to Ty Johnson was a significant one in franchise history, giving Allen his 22nd-career touchdown pass. That surpasses Hall-of-Famer Jim Kelly's 21 postseason passing touchdowns set back in 1996.

While Allen put up another impressive performance that shows why he's one of the front-runners for MVP this season, he credits his teammates and the camaraderie inside the locker room for the blowout Wild Card victory over Denver.

"Our offensive line did a great job of getting looks that we liked and taking advantage of it. And they moved guys off the ball today," said Allen following Sunday's win. "'Jimbo' [James Cook] ran the ball hard, all of our backs ran the ball hard. And then you incorporate some of the quarterback run stuff, I think that really messes with the defense.

"They were in a really good position sometimes, and our guys just made plays. That's why we got so much faith in everybody in this room."
