Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills will be re-signing cornerback Tre'Davious White, a league source confirmed to WGR on Thursday.
White, who turned 30-years-old in January, was the very first draft pick of head coach Sean McDermott, selected 27th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The fan-favorite was an outstanding player for the team over seven seasons, including being named a First-Team All-Pro in 2019 and Second-Team All-Pro in 2020.
However, after White suffered season-ending injuries in both 2022 and 2023, along with a large salary cap hit, the team decided to move on in the 2024 offseason.
NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reports the deal is worth a maximum value of $6.8 million.
Because White was a post-June 1 release a year ago, the team must still count $4.13 million in dead salary cap money this season, on top of whatever his cap hit is for 2025.
Over his seven seasons with the Bills, White logged 93 games played, including 86 starts and 18 interceptions.
