Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Buffalo Bills defensive tackle DaQuan Jones and wide receiver Joshua Palmer are both considered week-to-week, according to head coach Sean McDermott on Tuesday.
Jones injured his calf during pregame warmups and did not play in Monday night's contest against the Atlanta Falcons. Meanwhile, Palmer injured his ankle during the second quarter after catching a pass and being tackled and did not return.
McDermott says other injured players, including tight end Dalton Kincaid (oblique), linebacker Terrel Bernard (ankle), wide receiver Curtis Samuel (neck/ribs) and linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral) are all day-to-day with their injuries.
Kincaid, Samuel, and Milano all missed Monday night's 24-14 loss to the Falcons, while Bernard was injured just before halftime and did not return.
Hairston may return soon
McDermott says "there is a chance" 2025 first-round cornerback Maxwell Hairston could have his 21-day practice window opened next week when the team returns from its bye.
Hairston injured his knee during training camp, and has been on Injured Reserve since the start of the season. Once he returns to practice, the Bills will have 21 days to place him on the active roster or he will remain out for the season.
Hoecht and Ogunjobi coming back
Defensive end Michael Hoecht and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi have both served their six-game suspensions for PEDs, and will now return to the club's 53-man active roster.
Both will be eligible to play in the team's next game against the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 26.
Roster moves
The team made a couple additional roster moves on Tuesday afternoon, releasing linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo from the active roster and releasing cornerback Jalen Kimber from the practice squad.
Ciarlo will be subject to waivers, which means any team can claim him. If he clears waivers by Wednesday afternoon, the Bills could re-sign him to the practice squad.
