Indianapolis, Ind. (WGR 550) - As the NFL Scouting Combine gets under way in Indianapolis, Indiana, Buffalo Bills fans were rocked by the news of the sudden departure of defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier for the upcoming 2023 season.

Frazier has been with the Bills since head coach Sean McDermott was hired back in 2017. He was also given the role of assistant head coach on McDermott's staff prior to the 2020 season.
Under Frazier and McDermott's tutelage in Buffalo, the Bills defense has finished as a top-three unit in the NFL in three of the last four seasons.
As general manager Brandon Beane spoke of the departure of Frazier in 2023, so did McDermott when he met with the assembled media, as well as Chris Brown and Steve Tasker from "One Bills Live".
“We are just getting started, in terms of evaluating who and what," said McDermott on Tuesday from Indianapolis. "The internal evaluation will continue, and we’ll just take it one day at a time. I’m extremely confident in the guys and the coaches we have already in our building.”
