Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills wrapped up their three-day mandatory minicamp on Thursday, which means the next time the team will get together will be at training camp at St. John Fisher University in Rochester.
Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid was a standout performer on Thursday, making several impressive catches, particularly during the red zone and goal line 7-on-7 period.
Kincaid is looking to rebound from a second year in which he dealt with injuries that contributed to a decline in targets, catches, and yards from his rookie year.
At the end of last season, both general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott referenced Kincaid getting bigger and stronger this offseason in order to better withstand the rigors of the NFL.
Beane praised Kincaid's offseason on Thursday.
"He's been here the whole time," he said of the tight end working out. "I felt like I maybe even probably was a little over-critical. I wasn't trying to be, but felt like maybe I could have done a better job [of talking about his last season]. He's been here, he's worked his tail off. He's one competitive dude."
Beane also said that rookie first-round cornerback Max Hairston tweaked his hamstring on Wednesday, which is why he didn't practice on Thursday.
However, Beane expects Hairston, as well as every other player on the Bills, to be close to ready to play once training camp begins in late July.
