The Russian-born blue liner put up 39 points (12+27) in 69 games this past season for the Remparts, plus eight points (1+7) in 18 playoff games. The 6-foot-2, 182-pound defenseman helped Quebec to a QMJHL championship win over the Halifax Mooseheads and an appearance in the CHL Memorial Cup.
The 19-year-old still has one year remaining of eligibility playing in the QMJHL before he's able to make the jump to the pros.
Komarov is the fifth member of the Sabres' 2022 NHL Draft class to sign his entry-level contract, joining first-rounders Matthew Savoie, Noah Ostlund, and Jiri Kulich, along with third-round pick Viktor Neuchev.
