Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Sabres announced on Wednesday the signing of veteran winger Justin Danforth to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $1.8 million.
In 61 games last season with the Blue Jackets, Danforth scored nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points. The season before, he played 71 games, scoring 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points.
Overall, Danforth has played 183 NHL games, scoring 31 goals and adding 33 assists for 64 points.
The 32-year-old also spent 20 games with the Rochester Americans early in his career over two seasons, where he scored four goals and added three assists for seven points.
