-- Alabama defeated Georgia 26-23 in overtime on Monday night to claim the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship.
This is Alabama’s fifth championship in the past nine years.
He also praised Tagovailoa for stepping up to lift the team to the win.
“I couldn’t be prouder of him taking advantage of the opportunity. We have total confidence in him. We played him a lot in a lot of games this year, and he did very well,” he said. ”I think all year long we had lots of confidence in Tua, and we played him so that, if this situation occurred, that he would be ready to play. I know that he was never in a situation where he was behind and had to come back in a game, but the game experience, the confidence, managing the team — he does a really good job in practice … He’s very well-liked by his teammates, and he’s got a very positive, upbeat attitude that affects other people around him in a very positive way.”
This is the sixth national title win for Nick Saban, tying Bear Bryant for most national titles.
-- The Big Baller Brand has received an F rating from the other BBB, the Better Business Bureau. This is the lowest possible rating for a business.
LaVar Ball’s company’s rating is based on 32 complaints filed against the Big Baller Brand, failure to respond to 12 of those complaints and five complaints that still haven't been resolved, according to the Better Business Bureau website.
The majority of these complaints are from customers who said they bought an item from the website in November and December and were charged for the orders but never received the merchandise.
Of course, Ball responded by trashing the Better Business Bureau.
"Better Business Bureau is as outdated as the Yellow Pages," he told ESPN. "Who cares about them? Tell them that Yelp! has replaced the Better Business Bureau. We honestly thought the Better Business Bureau was out of business. The new BBB stands for the Big Baller Brand."
"Holidays always slows shipping," Ball also said. "But we stay on top of customer service. It's probably Nike and Adidas complaining about not getting their Big Baller Brand merchandise."
The Better Business Bureau website states the ratings represent "how the business is likely to interact with its customers.”
By comparison, Nike earned an A-plus rating from the Better Business Bureau, while Adidas received a D-minus.
