Jaylen Brown made multiple hospital trips due to infection

Jaylen Brown has joined the Celtics in Charlotte after the team held him back when Boston started its road trip in Cleveland. Brown has been sidelined since October 30 with what started as an illness and turned into an infection.

At Thursday’s shootaround, Brown informed reporters he’d made roughly five trips to the hospital due to the illness and infection. The infection then led to the development of an abscess, which he had drained.

“I’m glad it’s behind me now. Feeling a lot better,” Brown said. “But I had to keep going back and forth to the hospital because I was pretty down and out.”

Brown is listed as probable for Thursday’s game against the Hornets.
