The Patriots have lost another player.
According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, wide receiver Phillip Dorsett has signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks.
"Seattle felt like the best opportunity to be the player I know I can be as a wide receiver," he said to Anderson. "I spoke to Russell Wilson on FaceTime while he was working out. Shows you his work ethic. That got me extra excited. I think overall it's just the right fit for me."
In three seasons with the Patriots, Dorsett totaled 73 catches for 881 yards and eight touchdowns. Last year, in 14 games, he recorded 29 catches for 397 yards and five touchdowns.
Perhaps a change in scenery could be best for the 27-year-old.
