With the clock potentially ticking on Bill Belichick's time as the New England Patriots head coach, the rumor and report mill continues to spin at rapid pace with two games left in the 2023 campaign.

Some have said a decision has already been made, while others have suggested that the jury is still out on Bill. Notably, it's been suggested by SI's Albert Breer that Belichick has been conducting business as usual inside the walls of One Patriot Place, even going as far as holding weekly scouting meetings and laying the groundwork for assistant coach contracts heading into next season and beyond.

On Tuesday, however, we got a report to the contrary as according to Boston Sports Journal's Mike Giardi, Belichick has "expressed doubt" about his future to the Patriots' staff over the past few weeks. Giardi also added that he the coach has yet to sit down with ownership to discuss what's next.

Belichick was asked about his job security during his weekly appearance on The Greg Hill Show, and also if he has any desire for owner Robert Kraft to publicly endorse him as their head coach heading into 2024:

"Yeah, my job is to get the team ready to play every week," he explained. "That's what I do, so. That's what I'm going to keep doing. That's what I've always done."

We'll see how it all plays out as the season comes to a close but with just two games remaining on the schedule, the time is coming for a decision to be made.
