The Patriots defense could be getting a linebacker back soon.
Jamie Collins was back at practice on Wednesday, their first session of the week ahead of Monday's game against the Bills. He had been on injured reserve with an ankle injury. The team now has 21 days to activate him to the roster, but he could play as soon as this week.
While Collins returned, the defense was missing a key player -- Kyle Dugger. It's unclear why he missed the practice, as there was no noticeable injury from Sunday's game against the Titans.
Also missing was J.J. Taylor (COVID list) and practice squad players BoPete Keyes and Alex Redmond.
With the Monday night game, the first injury report will be Thursday.
