Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have added, yet, another weapon for Josh Allen to throw the ball to on offense.
After moving up two spots in the Round 1 draft order to get to the 25th pick in the draft, Bills general manager Brandon Beane made the selection of tight end Dalton Kincaid out of the University of Utah.
While Kincaid was uncertain with how Round 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft was going to play out, he was certainly excited to hear his name called by Buffalo.
"Trading up to get me just goes to show that they wanted me that much more, so definitely just gonna go in, be the best rookie I can and do whatever I can help the team," said Kincaid shortly after being drafted by the Bills in a Zoom call.

Kincaid was able to enjoy the draft at his home in Henderson, Nevada with a number of his family members, some friends, as well as some teammates and his tight end coach. He felt it was special to be able to share that moment with all of them.
As for his pre-draft interactions with the Bills, Kincaid says he spoke with Buffalo as recently as Monday before Thursday's first round.
"I had a formal interview with them at the Combine, it was actually my last formal interview. It was really cool just to meet that organization. I mean, they're very well known, they're very successful, so it was awesome," he said. "And then just had an interview with them on Monday, just a Zoom. It was my last Zoom with any team, so you save the best for last, and I feel like that's what I did."
Beane said during his press conference Thursday night that Kincaid can be utilized on the offense like a slot wide receiver with his pass-catching abilities. Kincaid feels like he can bring plenty to the table with the Bills going forward.
"I feel like I'm diverse in what I can do," he said. "I feel like you can line me up in the slot, in line, you can spread me out. I feel like that's one of my strengths is having to do all that, and with that comes with having to learn all it. I like to pride myself on being smart, so I feel like that kind of ties in with what I do well on the field."
Kincaid joins a Buffalo offense that is already stock full of weapons for Allen, including fellow tight end Dawson Knox. He's already looking forward to getting a chance to interact and learn from his new teammates in Orchard Park.
"Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Dawson Knox is right up there with the tight ends, as well. It's gonna be awesome to learn from him, and learn from Josh," Kincaid said. "I think just joining 'Bills Mafia' is going to be one of the coolest things. They're such an established fan base, and they're very well known."
